Why is an independent award important for collection?
Because an external judgment proves something that a provider cannot expose himself. Anyone who gives an outstanding claim must trust that it is handled seriously, that the money actually comes in and that the customer relationship remains healthy.
Trust matters in debt collection. Providers make similar promises, and it can be difficult to assess their work from outside. An award from an independent expert jury offers evidence assessed by a third party, rather than a claim made by the provider itself.
Just such an award has incaseof.law 2026 received for the second time in a row: the Rising Star in the category FinTech and InsurTech at the EY Scale-up Award. After the first award in 2025 the title was defended.

Because an outstanding claim is a matter of trust. You transfer sensitive data and your money to a third party and expect it to act professionally, legally and in your interest.
An evaluation of incaseof.law shows how much capital is involved in outstanding invoices: In the balance sheets of 149,916 Austrian companies, around 194.9 billion euros all the more counts to whom you entrust the transfer. The details are in the Study on tied capital.
