Dr. Kindler founded incaseof.law in Vienna in 2019. A lawyer with management experience, he leads the development of the platform: receivables management that works within the law, pays out the principal claim to the creditor in full and protects the customer relationship.
Anyone who hands over an open claim should know who is taking it on. From 2021 to 2023 the Austrian Lawyers’ Association (Österreichischer Rechtsanwaltsverein) took incaseof.law to court through all three instances, up to the Austrian Supreme Court.

A debt collection institute and a platform under one roof
incaseof.law is a licensed debt collection institute and develops its own platform in house. In Austria the trade licence runs under the Trade Act 1994, in Germany the registration as a debt collection service provider is held with the Federal Office of Justice, reg. no. 2024 0000 8388. The Austrian Supreme Court confirmed in 2023 that this digital, AI-supported model is legally permissible.
